Christopher Praises Trencher Hire UK Service
A Cheshire householder has solved a major drainage issue in his back garden by using a trenching machine hired from Trencher Hire UK.
Christopher, who lives near Malpas, said that surface water would build up in one area of his back lawn during the winter months and that the clay soil underneath was a major part of the problem.
“We dug out 150 metres to a depth of around 6-8 inches using a Toro TRX-16, then laid perforated drainage pipes in gravel before backfilling and returfing. This now channels water to a soakaway, preventing the water building up on the surface. The work was carried out over one day during the Jubilee bank holiday this year and was undertaken in advance of planned landscaping that we will be undertaking in the garden.
“This was the second time that I have hired a trencher from Trencher Hire UK and the service has been fantastic on both occasions and the machines have been perfect for the work. Two years ago, I planted an orchard and used a Toro TRX-20 to create 200 metres of channelling before planting 200 metres of native hedgerow.”
